THE RESURRECTION OF JESUS

The middle window on the right as you face the Alter is the Resurrection. St. Paul says, "Unless Christ is risen, our Faith is in vain." (ICor.15:16) If Jesus had died on the Cross but not risen from the dead, He would seem to have been defeated. But because He rose from the dead, He proved His claim to be God, and made his Resurrection the Miracle proving His conquest over sin and death. In the window you see the gold cross, the instrument of salvation, only hinted at, and overshadowed by the Risen Lord.
